1. Lotus Lake
Lotus Lake is located on the eastern edge of Zuoying District. Well known are the Dragon/Tiger Pagodas, the Confucian Temple, the Spring/Autumn Pavilions and the different kinds of lotus flowers that bloom here.

2. The Dragon and Tiger Pagoda
The Tiger represents morality/peace, the Dragon strength/power. Walking through the interior, you see the walls are decorated with paintings. To see a bird’s eye view of Lotus Lake, you should go all the way to the top.

3. 85 Sky Tower
Until the completion of Taipei 101, the 85 Sky Tower was the tallest building in Taiwan. The tower has 85 floors (hence the name), with the observation deck on the 75th floor being the highest level open to the public.

4. Love River
The Love River crosses the city over a length of 12 km. The Love River Park is a magnificent riverside park dotted with chic cafes, bars and restaurants along the riverbank.

5. Love Viewpoint
The Shoushan Lovers’ Viewing Platform is located in Gushan. When the city and the sign are illuminated at night, the view is the most beautiful. You will see breathtaking mountains & the sea.

6. Dome of Light
The largest glass artwork in the world with more than 4,500 glass panels can be seen at the Formosa Boulevard Station. Narcissus Quagliata, an Italian architect, built the structure in the B1 underground level.

7. Museum of Fine Arts
Kaohsiung is known as a city of outstanding cultural significance. Neiweipi Cultural Park, which includes the Fine Arts Museum, an Ecology and Sculpture Park, and an Entrance Square, is located in Gushan District.

8. Dream Mall
Dream Mall is currently an emerging landmark in Kaohsiung City and was named one of the “Top 10 Shopping Malls in Asia” by ForbesTraveler financial magazine.

9. E-Da Theme Park
The largest amusement park is located in E-Da. The amusement park can be reached in about 30 minutes from Kaohsiung City.

Ruifeng and Liuhe night markets are the two main night markets in Kaohsiung. Numerous food vendors and kiosks sell everything from electrical appliances to delicious seafood.
