1. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall
Officially known as Liberty Square, was established in 1976 in memory of the former Republic of China president Chiang Kai Shek. From 1928–1949, he governed mainland China, from 1949-1975 (death) Taiwan.

3. Elephant Mountain
If you want to view the city in illuminated color at sunset, go to Elephant Mountain. There is no better site to view Taipei’s Skyline than from the peak of the 183m tall Mountain.

5. 228 Peace Memorial Park
Walking distance separates 228 Peace Memorial Park from Ximending. It honors those who died during the anti government rebellion on February 28, 1947. There are several memorials in the park, simply learn about the local history.

6. Longshan Temple
Longshan Temple is situated in the Center of the city and was constructed in 1738. It is intriguing to observe and hear the worshipers praying and giving gifts among the fragrance of burning candles and incense.
