The Rescue Center in Luang Prabang was built with the Lao Department of Forestry in 2003. 3 bear cottages with room for 25 rescued bears were constructed.

Alms Giving Ceremony happens every morning as the sun rises, it begins on the main street. Rice, fresh fruit and traditional snacks are typical presents.

One of Luang Prabang’s reputedly oldest temples is Wat Manorom, whose unique feature is the main ordination hall. A bronze statue of the Buddha, been created in 1372 but having undergone numerous restorations.
