My Favorites
1. Shwe Oo Min Pagoda
High on a limestone ridge above Pone Taloke Lake, the Shwe Oo Min Pagoda is a twisting series of natural caves and tunnels covered with Buddha statues.

2. Kalaw Myoma Market
Market in the district with excellent fresh food served right there. Although the people are super nice and helpful. Join a Tour through Kalaw.

3. Trek
One of the best things I’ve ever done was the 3 Days walking through Myanmar. I passed by peaceful mountains, past tiny native communities and was surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

5. Nyaung Shwe
About 5km north of Inle Lake is the town. Local fisherman and tour operators battle for mooring space in the boarding area. Leave from here early in the morning to complete your tour of Inle Lake.

6. Kyaut Phyu Gyi Pagoda
The exposed sitting Buddha deity in the Kyaut Phyu Gyi Pagoda is encircled by smaller ones. It is situated next to a canal in Nyaungshwe.

7. Aung Puppet Show
The performance lasts for 30 minutes, which is barely enough time to take in a show full of fantastical creatures, monsters, ubuesque characters, let alone experience and feel Burmese legends while watching puppets. .

8. Indein Village
Indein Village, which is well known for its market and two clusters of historic pagodas. Only during the rainy and winter months is it possible to take the 8km boat voyage from Inle Lake; during the summer, the water level is too low.

9. Shwe Inn Thein Pagoda
A Tourist will find a hillside complex featuring more than 1,600 Buddhist stupas upon disembarking, some made of mud and stone, others with beautiful carvings and some gilded with precious metals.

10. Longneck Woman
Many people think that the Karen settlements in Thailand where the first Longneck Woman, also known as Kayan women, originate. This is false because originate from Loikaw, a minuscule region in Kayah State, Myanmar.
