1. Castelo de Sao Jorge
The Sao Jorge Castle is without a doubt the historic district of Lisbon’s most recognizable feature. The massive Castle was constructed by the Romans more than 2,000 years ago and it still stands high in the historic Alfama District.

2. Praca do Comercio
The Praca do Comercio is a big square with a view of the Tagus that is surrounded by palaces and has an equestrian Monument in its middle. It is located at the end of the Rua Augusta (Square of the Hadel).

3. Elevador de Santa Justa
People are transported 45m up to the Largo do Carmo by the Elevador Santa Justa while providing them with panoramic views of the Lisbon central region. Neat geometric patterns and neo-gothic arches grace the elevator’s facade.

5. Convento do Carmo
The Convento do Carmo today houses a modest but crucial Archaeological Museum, whose ruins open to the sky are one of the best illustrations of Lisbon’s restoring character. Hop on a TukTuk and explore the area.

Since the early 1960s, the grandiose tribute to the achievements of Portuguese exploration during the Age of Discovery. You may wander along Santa Maria de Belem’s Waterfront to get to the impressive structure, get on a Bus to get there.
