1. Frauenkirche
The Dresden Frauenkirche is one of the city’s most important churches and a symbol of Protestant faith in the Region. It is famous for the baroque architecture, which was severely damaged during World War II bombing of Dresden.

2. Bruehl's Terrace
Bruehl’s Terrace is situated on the banks of the Elbe River and overlooks Dresden’s Old Town. The terrace is named after Bernardo Bellotto, also known as Canaletto, a German painter who painted a series of views of the City.

3. Zwinger Palace
The Zwinger Palace was built in the Baroque Style. It is one of the city’s most recognizable attractions, housing a number of galleries, courtyards and gardens. The Palace was built as a pleasure palace for Saxony’s ruler, Augustus the Strong.

The Semperoper is a theater. It is home to the Saxon State Opera and features a variety of architectural styles, including Renaissance and Baroque. Throughout the year, the Semperoper offers a variety of performances.

The Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister is a Museum. Hosting one of the largest collections of old master paintings in the world. Titian and Rembrandt, among other European masters have works in the museum’s collection.

The Residenzschloss was the residence of the Saxon rulers until the 19th century. The Palace is decorated in a variety of architectural styles, Baroque, Neoclassical and houses a collection of artworks, furniture and artifacts.
